My Wines view by style

I have been making my own wine (using commercial-quality wine grapes, not kits) since 2004. The '04 and '05 Vintage were in California, while the '06 Vintage and all Icewine vintages have been in Ontario.

2005

  • 2005 Vidal Icewine

Notes of honeydew melon and crème brûlée, as well as touches of grapefruit. On the palate, the taste is mostly crème brûlée along with a hefty dose of caramel.

2004

  • 2004 Pinot Noir

Full of typical Carneros 'funk', this wine was blended with 16% Santa Lucia Highlands and 4% Russian River Valley Pinot Noir to add complexity and more fruitiness.

    Las Brisas Vineyard, Carneros, CA

  • 2004 Syrah

A blend with 4% Viognier adds a significant aromatic lift to the purity of the SLH Syrah fruit.

Fairview Road Ranch, Santa Lucia Highlands, CA

  • 2004 Viognier

Intense aromatics of apricot, pear and melon that transform into melon and key-lime as the wine warms up.
